More capacity, control and quality in the painting process
In February of this year, Águia Sistemas applied resources to further modernize its painting line, implementing new technologies in the process. Melina Favaro, Process Development Leader at Águia and one of those responsible for the project, said that among the novelties are “a surface pre-treatment tunnel, which enables greater efficiency in the treatment of the parts itself, a Power and Free conveyor, with a load capacity of one ton per bar, elevators for loading and unloading, bringing improved ergonomics, agility in operation and safety for employees. In addition, we also installed a German high-tech paint booth, with antistatic PVC walls, automatic and recurring cleaning of the floor, avoiding paint waste and a color change 80% faster than the current one”. With this equipment, the installed capacity rose to 14 tons per hour!
According to Favaro, the investments made will bring five benefits to Águia Sistemas’ production line:
- Ability to paint columns up to 14 meters;
- Increased process control;
- Greater quality assurance;
- Increased machine availability;
- Ergonomic improvements related to line loading and unloading and painters’ work in the paint booth.
