Mechanical Properties Test
The Mechanical Properties Test consists of a series of methods used to measure and analyze the mechanical properties of materials, systems and structures. In this way, it seeks to understand the behavior of the material used and how the product behaves before, during and after use, in addition to understanding how the conditions of use affect the installations.
This test is carried out through a partnership between the team of specialists in the Engineering sector of Águia Sistemas, trained professionals from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), and the Certifying Body (SGS) responsible for inspection, verification, testing and certification of structures . With this working group, Águia Sistemas manages to guarantee that all structures present perfect and ideal operating conditions and reach the high performance with which they were developed.
The test is carried out in Pallet Rack-type Storage Structures, composed of columns in cold-formed profiles (CFF) with perforations along their length to fit the beam connections. This is because, due to the slenderness of the profiles and the high perforation rate, which leads to the impossibility of analytically determining the stress distribution along the cross section, the need arises, via ABNT NBR 15524-2:2007 and BS EN 15512 :2009, to carry out experimental tests to determine its effective area.
The tests are carried out experimentally (via centered compression) using methods certified by competent bodies, conducted in accordance with national and international standards of execution, in addition to the treatment and analysis of data by the technical team of Águia Sistemas and by specialists from UFOP, a reference in the study of slender profiles. Thus, it is able to carry out a focused study, following the same standards that determine the excellence of the products and the efficiency of the installation.
